A little help with series.
I want to reduce 2^(2k)3^(2−k) to 2^(k-1)3^(k-1).
I am trying to check whether this series is convergent or not and am just getting caught up on my exponential properties. Sigh... basic algebra.
Update:[2^(k-1)][3^(k-1)]
I more need help with how you simplify this.

use parenthesis clearly. do you mean 2^(2k*3)? if not then you should have it (2^(2k))
i think the series is divergent.
