Hi, I will try to explain. NOTE: The answer of 7 is wrong!!

First I like to change all the subtraction to addition of the opposite.

(3x + (-3) + (-1)(2x +6) = 2x + (-4)

Now distribute the (-1)

3x + (-3) + (-2x) + (-6) = 2x + (-4)

Next combine like terms on the left side

x + (-9) = 2x + (-4)

Move the 2x over to the other side

x + (-9) + (-2x) = (-4)

Combine the x’s

(-x) + (-9) = (-4)

Move the -9 over to the right

(-x) = 5

So

x = -5

(3x – 3) – (2x + 6) = 2x - 4

3x-3-2x+6=2x-4

3x-2x+6-3=2x-4

1x+3=2x-4

4+3=2x-1x

7=1x/1xon both sides

x=7 that is the answer!

(3x-3)-(2x+6)=2x-4

3x-3-2x+6=2x-4

3x-2x-2x=-4-6+3

-1x=-7

x=-7

-1

x=7
