A small village in Kenya has lost 50 children over the last year to Malaria – put together a plan as a local care worker to educate the village about prevention. What resources might you need keeping in mind most people are so poor they are unable to read or write?

only one thing....Mosquito net
You would need to do demonstrations. But more than that - most of these people would not be able to afford the equipment, so you need to find some way of either getting them free mosquito nets and free insecticide (the nets are much less effective if they are not regularly soaked in insecticide), or find a way of helping them to earn the nets and insecticide.
I think the best way to go is to look for someone who can translate everything to them and you should at least use demonstrations for better understanding.i am kenyan but I leave in US I really want to go back and help Kenya.GOOD LUCK!
