I'd rather be in favor of voters being quizzed on where the candidates stand on the issues so we can avoid the issue of people just voting straight ticket. The voter would have to prove 60% efficiency when answering questions about the candidate they want to vote for and this can be done weeks or even months in advance of the election to save time and you would have three chances at taking this quiz to prove you know 60% or more about the candidate or the amendment that is up for vote. That would be my personal proposal.
Not a bad idea. Ignorant voters do not know the issues or the facts and can't truly make an informed decision, and they can often swing elections to the wrong candidate. I found it interesting that only 18% of American high school students could pass the test immigrants take to get their citizenship and to me the questions are not that hard which makes me wonder what is being taught in the schools today because it sure isn't US history and US government.
What? Are you trying to eliminate 3/4 of the Republican voter? Because if you require an IQ test you WILL eliminate over 3/4s of the Republican voters and 1/16th of Democrats and 1/125th of the most required independent voters.
You should have to demonstrate that you know that literacy tests applied to voters are against federal law before you even suggest proposals like that.

The 15th and 24th amendment prohibits restrictive requirements to vote beyond being a citizen and not a felon.

Anyone with an IQ over 32 knows better than to phrase a question using all caps.

those of us with a high enough IQ know how bad of an idea that would be

Any one who believes we should is not qualified to vote, so that should be the first question if we had one
No, because conservatives should be able to vote too.
