Factually inaccurate. Of the five major US team sports, women make up a significant chunk of fans according to studies from Thomson/Reuters, Street & Smiths, and Demographic Partitions. Ranges:
NFL: 30-45% (each study has different percentages)
NBA/MLB: 32-40%
NHL: 28-30% (also the fanbase with the highest median income AND the greatest percentage of viewers with income over US$100,000).
MLS: 20-27% (most ethnically diverse with 32-37% Latino viewers). Also the poorest (and youngest) fanbase.
So yes- women watch men's pro sports; no sport can afford to lose these kind of numbers.
A little rude, but mostly ignorant. Of course, if you say to a girl that watches sports, its more rude, since you'd be calling her a liar to her face with no evidence.
Just because you don't know any that watch them doesn't mean none of them do.
It also means you don't pay much attention to the people at the game or those that discuss sports on TV, as there are plenty of girls that do.

It wouldn't be rude but it might not be accurate, I know several females who watch sports but I don't know any who understand sports.
Rude? No.
Ignorant? Yes. It is inaccurate and a typical extrapolation based on your person bubble.
