He is there among us every week, are not close friends but I do have a lot of love and respect for him. I thought a little thank you note for his ministry to us and just a token gesture from me privately and personally really. I am going to post it and not give it personally as dont want to cause any embarrassemnt. What do you think folks? Also being an only child I have no brothers or sisters to spoil.

Go ahead!that would be of great help to the Church where the priest is assigned and a lot of people will benefit from it. You'll see how that amount of money could affect lives in a good way. Plus, the priest will be more inspired because he'll witness the virtue of Generosity.
Generosity inspires gratitude, and gratitude inspires generosity. God is generous to us and our generosity, as St. Paul tells us, “gives proof of our gratitude towards God” (2 Cor. 9:11).
A thank you for what? scaring you into believing that if you don't do as he says that you'll go to hell? Brainwashing children into believing that the answers to life's questions reside within a 2000 year old book that was written by ex-goat herders who had very little grasp of how the universe really works? Would it not be better giving that $100 to someone who actually needs it rather than to someone who takes a generous percentage of what is donated anyway? Invest in providing education and clean water to people of 3rd world countries...
I guess so, but if it was for me, I would invite him over for dinner with my family, or gifted him books or anything else..
My parents know each and every priest that some to our parish pretty well enough, and for their birthdays we gifts them shirts or kurtas or my dad gets them an artifact like a cross from abroad..
I can't see anything wrong with it. It's not like he's a politician and this would be a bribe. It's a generous gift.
If I were the priest, I think I would be offended. I wouldn't accept it, but that's just me.
If your a little boy, then I can think of something better.
There's no god. Now, why not give it to me for freeing you from this pointless burden?
you mean one hundred or ten thousand with a wrong dot?
juts take him for a pizza, i'm sure that would be enough thanks.
to be serious he would proabaly just be happy with a note of thanks.
