I am of the belief that Gold and Silver were the best pokemon games and when I got the following generations it was a huge disappointment.

It is unknown as the game is not yet released but it is highly likely. The most likely scenario will be that you will be able to find them after beating the Elite Four like you were able to catch later generation Pokemon in FireRed and LeafGreen.
