I had 7 annual reviews when I was in my 4th primary school i had two there, I had three in senior/secondary/high school and two in special needs school.
When I was in special needs school they were lot of kids who hall had annual reviews.
I don’t know why is so important and also when I had my first one I feel I was the main character like Harry Potter and Lyra from the golden compass.
I did wanted to be like other kids who doesn’t need to go to these meetings, i feel like they are scary for me to talk about.
I can remember in primary/elementary school kids in my class were jealous of me and they were so noisy and cold.
Why do they last it up till when you are 25?but obviously you are legally an adult.

sadly, much of Sp. Ed. is "guess and see what works". that means reviews of progress to see if the present methods are working ... that yours were annual strongly suggests the interventions were working as well as the committee could expect. [even more sadly, such committees tend to set expectations lower than the student can actually achieve ... they get to personally feel good when you achieve the goals they set, so they tend to set goals low -- pretty ordinary human psychology in their part.] -- Grampa: I've been married 32 years to Uni Professor of Sp.
