I need help with this question for my bio class for my midterm. thank you <33
Apparently yeast does not rely on what we would consider a nominal circulatory system. Consider how it's often packaged and stored as well.
It doesn't suffocate inside a bottle of wine, because wine is fermented and has some of the same properties as yeast.
yeast does not need oxygen, just a sugar supply, and therefore cannot suffocate
