Is it really only because it's the right thing to do or is it solely strategic?? Is it a real obligation or just a smart move? What does our country gain from it?? I don't agree with it. Why do we have to share our resources? In some cases we are not fighting for our country... we're fighting and dying for others.

agreed and its pretty stupid. personally i am for an isolation policy where we bomb the hell out of any potential threats and then go back to minding our own business. in some cases we do have obligations with certain allies but others are just pure business moves with the strings being pulled by the rich pigs controlling some of the big industrys
everything the united states government does has a reason, whether its benign or malicious. rarely does the united states get involved in foreign affairs for the greater good. its usually because they feel threatened, or there is money to be made. the united states and her allies have become the world police, and it is costing the taxpayers a fortune. our defense spending is greater than the next 40 countries combined, 39 of whom are allies. its ridiculous
Wow you really think that the US "helps" other countries out of the goodness of their hearts?
LOL you are VERY naive!
btw.
we're fighting and dying for others...
