I mean, all the other person wants to to love you.
Say, I see a girl that I like, and then I become friends with her, but then she finds out that I was trying to be her boyfriend. Then she gets upset because I’m not honest and thinks of me as only pretending to be her friend.
Why would she get angry or disgusted? It’s not like an intimate relationship is a bad thing. And besides, friend, and boyfriend is hardly mutually exclusive.
I’m not in this situation but I just want your opinion.
Update:Aries Flare: But I know how to take no for an answer. I can easily get with someone else and just remain friends with the girl. I like having a lot of friends. But I think with girls, sometimes we gotta pursue only one or the other. If you screw up on trying to be her boyfriend, you can’t be her friend.

It can be awkward but its not THAT bad
It's because they don't want the person. When you don't want someone, you usually try to make it plain as day to the other person. Some people just won't take no for an answer. If you don't like a baked potato, would you constantly want someone shoving that in your face? No. You will either say "No thank you" or you could just get ticked off.
It'd be cool to know why this is. When girls liked me and I wasn't that interested, I certainly wasn't angry at them or disgusted.
So why do girls feel that way when a guy they don't like, like them?
well it is best to be up front about your feelings and intentions otherwise it can come over as being a little fraudulent depending on the approach and demeanor etc
Well if they are your friend, they don't want you to get hurt. They care for your feelings but can't see themselves with you.

I personally find them annoying, if I tell her I don't want her, it means leave me the hell alone or I will embarrass the hell out her.
