It's reasonable, but I m not supporting a form of right-wing cancel culture that neocons like the user Uncle Pennybags. Most alt-righters nowadays are national socialists or fascists, and don't have much in common with conservatives. I remember watching alt-right content sometimes, and how completely absurd it is to deny the legitimacy of demographics for example. But nowadays, it makes complete sense for a healthy conservative movement to disavow them.
Other than certain people like Charlie Kirk or Ben Shapiro, who use words like "racist" and say "Blexit", I think conservatives today are more open to the idea of reconsidering the 1965 Hart-Celler Act. The alt-right has completed many of their goals. Tech censorship and immigration are at the forefront of the minds of most conservatives, and Trump's win demonstrates that. If people still had a taste for neoconservatism, Jeb Bush may be president right now (or Hillary Clinton because she would have probably done better against one of those corporate crony candidates).
The alt-right is mostly a creation of the liberal media. Their big "rally" in Washington D.C. drew about 20 supporters. They're a minuscule group, at best.

For many Libs ANYONE on the Right is "Alt-Right". It is such a nebulous term , it has lost it's meaning.

The Alt-Right is a made-up term by the liberal media. Frankly, I don't even know what it means.
I haven't noticed cons disavowing the alt-right. I've noticed they tend to use far-fetched conspiracy theories for excuses.
Do we?
I pretty much just ignore them totally.
Hell, I never even heard of QAnon until the Democrats with bylines started talking about them in the Press.
Very few do. Some Qanon morons even got elected.
