I have had American Express for years and always at 0% for 1 year. I have excellent credit.
However, I switched my debit card from a big commecial bank to a SMALL CREDIT UNION BANK and I am very happy with their service. Smaller community banks are better and give you better service. If you have credit union banks in your area, that's the best route for you.
Please be careful getting snagged with credit cards. Some charge VERY HIGH INTEREST RATES and before you know you, you are sucked into a nightmare of no return.
Best to pay for things in cash if you can do it. And just open a DEBIT CARD with your community bank. It is like a credit card, it will have the VISA logo on it, you can use it anywhere, the only difference is that it will come out of your checking account as soon as you use it. It really is the only way to go to stay out of credit nightmare.
Ask your community bank if you can also have a regular credit card with them.
