My father passed away in January this year.
And when I was 6 years old he started restoring a '65 Comet Caliente convertible and finished it 3 years later and sold it.
It was the first and only project car he ever restored. And he said to me that selling that car was the absolute worst mistake he made in his life.
And my dream for a career in the Automotive Repair industry, I thought I would try and take on the same project and rebuild the same car myself in his memory. An EXACT replica of everything he did to it.
But for the last 6 months on and off the Internet I've spent a lot of my free time searching for books, information, manufacter specs and features, as well as parts and body's on eBay and anywhere else possible. And I have found NOTHING.
Can someone help me out on where I can find the kind of information I would need to start this project? Websites, book titles anything you know about would help.
Thank you all and God bless.

That was a better muscle car than the mustang ever was. That little Falcon-sized car with a 390 in it! I would go to the library and look in Chiltons Auto Repair manual for Mercury, 1965. Sorry about your Dad. They must have Calientes in heaven though.
