I believe you would need the consent of the patient to do that. I have to sign a release for any of my doctors to talk to each other about any health or psychiatric condition I have. I have to do this even though all my doctors are in the same network, and I have to sign one for each doctor. And sometimes I choose not to, for my own personal reasons.
