That people when they die go to very different places all over the place. And hell and death can move to different places. You should read the revelation of Jesus Christ to know what it says what hell and death are and what they do. But it does not tell you everything.

As a theologian, I take the story as pure bunk.
No, they didn't. That story was a hoax, and the "screams" sound more like people having a great time at a noisy club than screams from hell.
