What's an assuring & polite reply when my gf's overprotective father/brother says the cliché thing?
I want to reply to the saying "If you hurt her, I'll break you". I want to reply in the most sincere, polite, and reassuring way. Any ideas?

I would say "What will you do if she hurts me"? it's a two way street. But seriously, all you can do is say that you respect and care for her and have no intention of hurting her.
Um lol, maybe say,"Trust me it'll never come to that" or "there's no way i could ever hurt her" ?
