You need a second opinion. I saw my dog limping one day, she had no pain, no heat, nothing in her paw so I took her to the vet. They said it was sprained. Put her on pain/anti inflammatory meds. She did not get any better, it looked like she was getting worse so I took her back the next week. We switched meds after doing an x-ray. That night she had a seizure and she went back to the vet. She was put on an anti-seizure med and the vet said most likely this was not her first seizure and she is limping due to nerve damage. This is an extreme example but you should either go back to the vet or see a different vet and ask for a copy of the x-rays from the current vet so you don't have to pay for new ones.
