The typical work week is 40 hours in Spain, and you're entitled to 30 days of vacation pay per full working year unless otherwise stated in your contract or collective bargaining.
As mentioned by another poster, there is not sick leave entitlement in Spain. There are however special leaves pertaining to marriage, birth of child, bereavement, relocation etc.
The minimum wages since 1st Jan 2008 is 600euro gross per month although this is applicable to white collar workers only. Normally one get paid 14 monthly payments in a year (yes, so you get extra month payments due in July and December)
You have right to 30 days of holidays if you work for one year ( that is proportional, if you have a 6 months contract, you only have right to 1 days of holidays ). During those days, you are paid your WHOLE salary.
If you don't take your holidays ( and your company let it to you ), then they HAVE TO pay you an extra month ( at the end of the year you are paid not only the 12 months, and the 2 compulsory extra-salarys, but also con more, 15 in total ).
If all your papers are in order and you've been paying your tax, then how ever many days holiday you have a year... 3 weeks ? You ´Should´get paied your full wage for these days...
all though it say's you have 3 weeks 4 weeks... how ever many holidays you must keep some back for day's like Christmas and other holiday's where most businesses shut
also you shouldn't get less than 600€... I think it's 650€ a month.
But inless you work in a large company you won't be intatiled to sick pay, you'll need to take these day's out of your hoiday
Don't know can the spanish tax office not help? in UK after 14 weeks work you are entitled to 1 days Holiday for every week you work - if its 2 weeks holiday its 2 weeks full pay.
You get paid as if you were working.
