I know this sounds silly but the high up tug pilots get paid well. In fact, knowledge of the sea is well sought after these days. In Melbourne, some of the tug pilots on the highest wage turn up to work in Armani suits. And this is out at sea. I think that is borderline £100k but then that requires a LOT of dedication.
