I've had a crush on this REALLY cute kid for a couple weeks. he's really shy and
sometimes we find it awkward talking. we hung out one night at a dance, and his friend got
my number. he's been texting me saying this kid really likes me, he's just too nervous around me.
is there any way I can, you know, break the ice a little better?

Ask him out, that would break the ice! If thats too drastic, Since hes shy, and its hard talking, ask him for his facebook, or number? I bet you he would talk then. Or do what I do, be the super happy, optimistic girl that pretty much forces him to talk! Ask him questions, about his hobbies, interest, stuff like that. And you'll be able to get to know him better! Good luck
