Our mission is to fulfill God's Book. His original idea, created, put forth in motion to bring to conclusion, then the New Book begins, a new and different better thing. What's the ending/beginning? All things must be brought into Perfect harmony with each other. How does God bring opposite things together, By Marriage. One kneelsdown in front of another, pledging love forever. So wherever The Church Is,Jesus is close by to her. His "Beloved", why He did what He did was for her. The Church has His Promise, " I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am, you will be also.". Rapture means marriage/Intimacy with God. Meanwhile on earth is Tribulation, means you will be broken, hurt probably killed.
Never heard of Patrick and I have not only been in the church a long time, but studied the early church. The mission of the church is found in Matthew 28:18-20---Go into the world, teach, baptize, then teach more.
The mission of the Church is to bring humanity into communion with our God by pointing them to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
It is a work in progress. I was catechized by Irish sisters and priests. I still can't separate he Irish pride from the Catholic teachings with respect to St. Patrick.
The mission is obviously barely begun. The challenges today are spiritual, not religious and pop atheism and materialism and the extremes of modernism.
Perhaps you should send me your school text book, and in my spare time, I'll read up on that chapter, then send the answer by way of snail mail (at your expense, of course). I'll just sell the book and get some cash for it, since you don't seem to be using it.
OR, now this may sound crazy, but perhaps YOU can read your book and do your OWN homework!
What "church" are you talking about? Catholicism is false, and most "churches" are false.
.
The mission from Jesus is to tell people about Jesus, so they would believe in Jesus and be saved.
The truth is that believing in Jesus to take you to heaven, is the only way to heaven. Jesus paid it all, so believe in Jesus, and you're saved. There is no chance to be saved after death. Jesus Christ is God, Jesus died on the cross to pay for all of our sins, all sins past and future, and then Jesus resurrected from the dead. Nothing else pays for our sins, not works or deeds or religions or anything. So to be in heaven and not in eternal torment in the lake of fire, believe in Jesus Christ to take you to heaven. That easy! Tell Jesus right now that you believe in Jesus for eternal life, and you will be in heaven! Jesus loves you and wants to bless you now and throughout your life and forever!..

The mission of the church means to bring whole world under their rule just like a caliphate only the delusion is different.
The biblical doctrine is my personal understanding, meaning that I do agree totally with what it says in: just because Jesus commands it.
Matthew 28V19:The controlling purpose of the church is to:
Make disciples of all kinds of people . (since Jesus died to save the world.)
Those who are evangelized and converted should then be baptized.
Attesting to their identification with Christ and the local body of believers.
The final phase of the Great Commission is to:
Train disciples in Christian knowledge and for Effective Service.
A church cannot choose one aspect of its responsibility and neglect others.
The Great Commission is a simple command with three steps---EVANGELISM, BAPTISM, and EDUCATION.
The Great Commission the strategy by which the church at Jerusalem saturated its community with the gospel.

Patrick, as a Catholic, was one of their notables. But the Catholic Church is only a small portion of "the Church" as a whole.

it can never be accomplished, so long as Jesus isn't here and people are still f'ing things up. Keep on truckin', babe.
