If you are referring to points on your license, here's the deal:
For every ticket you get, a point (or two or three or SIX) goes on your driving record. Minor tickets have only a point or two, while MAJOR incidents like recklessly driving will get you six points.
After a certain number of points on your driving record ( SIX in MI my home state ) the state will revoke your license.
If you have, say, four points on your license.....if you don't get any tickets, one point per year will drop off, until after 4 years of no tickets, you will have NO points on your license anymore.
