I don't believe there is a person out there like this though (or maybe I'm just being short sighted) because I think no matter what people go through, no matter how bad it is, they will always be made stronger for it afterwards. I accept it takes time, but the potential is there. This is coming back from being bent. You're bent by the thing that happens then you slowly re-bend back to normal.
If you can bend you are 'flexible' and can adapt to new situations and be stretched to your full potential, you are good at absorbing the shock of criticism and you can apply yourself in many ways.
An 'inflexible' person is the opposite and shatters at criticism and is only good at a few things because of their brittle disposition.
