What we believe doesn’t have to be true i.e. every mad person thinks everyone else is mad. Practically every person has different belief about same thing. And there can be only one true answer. So how do we find out what makes our belief true or false???

Good point. And I don't understand what people mean when they say they"believe" in something or someone either. All belief is provisional--it is just a way that we order our world and cope with things. It is not true or false; it is just a way to organize things and create a workable structure. If everyone believes that the sky is green eventhough in reality it is blue, it will be green even though it isn't true. This is why some people say things like, "just be." Some see trusting in life and its natural processes without being pressured into "believing" a paradigm as an "enlightened" approach.
A "Belief" only means something that is true to you. There is no right or wrong, true or false. A belief can help guide you through life or it can be debilitating to you. If you believe that rich people are greedy, you will never become rich because you have a limiting belief about it. If you realize you have a limiting belief, you can work on changing it so that your beliefs serve you and lead you to your highest good.
I came to this realization not long ago. The longer I thought about it, the sillier it became.
In the end, I realized that ... the fact that no one knows the right answer, the great mystery everyone is searching for, IS the right answer. Every single one of us has a different belief. Every belief is different, yet belief, in and of itself seems to work.
So the great mystery that is "God" or "no God", all the unanswered questions, is what we must believe in. 'Something' out there is truely superior to us.
And the moment you decide to believe in this simple concept, not this in particular, but any belief, you can feel it.
We believe in what matters hopefully. I know christians have different ideas on what the word says and I think a lot of small things like clothes ,make up ,hair etc.. will be interpreted differently by many. Small things that don't matter. Myself, I believe that Jesus saves and I live by the commandments and I'll make it in the end. Pretty easy salvation, if you follow it.
Its called Faith.
Believing in someone, as in believing in Jesus, is having fully persuaded trust in that person. It means very little or nothing to say you believe in Jesus then not live by his teaching. You can know faith in Jesus is right when you experience the reality of the Holy Spirit.
@"So how do we find out what makes our belief true or false???"
Try it.
Hebrews 11:6.
Hebrews 1:2.
Romans 10:8-11.
Matthew 6:6.
In this order.
It's your turn to take the challenge.
belief does not mean truth or fact.
