I know raison d'être can apply to anything, but im talking about when you apply it to your significant other
"I have died to myself and I live for you" (from a Rumi poem, but I don't know it's sound in Persian. It must be sweeter than in English)
Raison d'etre simply means "Reason for existing". I don't think it's particularly romantic since it can apply to anything....
Te amo means I LOVE YOU! Now THAT's romance.
ITALIAN:
Cos'e quel buio che gli attraversa?
it's a line from an eros ramazzotti song. the phrase just really flows. it's pronounced coz-eh kwel booy-oh keh lyee (no g sound!) at-trah-ver-sah.
the song is "parla con me" (talk to me). the phrase means: "what is that darkness that crosses i tuoi occhi (your eyes)?"
of course, ti amo, i love you...even the family version of i love you, ti voglio bene (tee vol-yoh ben-eh) is romantic sounding.
ahhhhh, italian.....
