Those days were the days of Pre-Islamic Persian Empire. Persian civilization and culture have survived until now. So it would be wrong to call it the Persian Period. Perhaps the first Golden Age of Persia.
The Persian empire survived until the early 1800's. There were two more golden ages after the collapse of Pre-Islamic Persia. Who know's, there might be another Persian period soon. History tends to repeat itself and there have been 6 or 7 Persian Empires and more than 10 Iranian Empires overall.(Persians are Iranians).
The first Persian period came to an end in 330 BC with the death of Darius III. The second did not begin till 224-6 AD with the rise of the Sassanians.
this is probably correct. The abbasid caliphate flourished around that time and set the groundwork for one of the early true three dimensional games, the ubiquitous Prince of Persia.

Persian Period of "what"?
Egypt, Israel, Greece?
EDIT:
Sorry about this, I tried to re-post about 10 hours ago, but then my internet gave out on me.
Here's a small time-line.
550BC: Cyrus the Great begins the Achaemenid, Persian Empire.
330BC: Alexander the Great Conquers said Empire.
312BC: On Alexander's Death, Seleucid I claims the Persian lands as the Seleucid Kingdom.
063BC: Following Roman Defeats, the Seleucid Empire is swallowed up by the Parthian, Persian Empire.
224AD: The Sassanid Empire succeeds the Parthians.
651AD: The Sassanid Empire is overrun by Islam.
So that is the time Frame of Persia, being Persia. But I don't fully understand the Question.
