I have the volume of a sphere, it is 500/3(π)yd^3, can you guys help me find the radius? I also need to find the circumfrence of the Great Circle and the surface area of the sphere.
Volume of a Sphere = 4/3 * pi*r^3
so 4/3 * pi*r^3 = 500/3 * pi
4 r^3 = 500
r^3 = 125 = 5^3
so r = 5 yd
Formula for volume of sphere: 4/3π(r^3)
THerefore, r^3* (4/3)= 500/3, so r^3*4 = 500
r^3= 125, r=5
If r=5, then d=10, so circumference is 10π
Surface area is 4π(r^2)
4π(5^2)
4π*25
100π is the circumference
formula
v =(4/3)pi r^3
and
C = 2pi r

Volume of a Sphere = 4/3 * pi*r^3
so 4/3 * pi*r^3 = 500/3 * pi
4 r^3 = 500
r^3 = 125 = 5^3
so r = 5 yd
Formula for volume of sphere: 4/3π(r^3)
THerefore, r^3* (4/3)= 500/3, so r^3*4 = 500
r^3= 125, r=5
If r=5, then d=10, so circumference is 10π
Surface area is 4π(r^2)
4π(5^2)
4π*25
100π is the circumference
formula
v =(4/3)pi r^3
and
C = 2pi r
