It was originally "The Egret On The Roof", in French.

I though it was an amusing, unique phrase. There was no other reason for the choice.

I thought about what meaning it could have, settling on this:

The egret is a regal bird, ineed.

Being on the roof elevates it higher. Height generally denotes status in art.

The proud egret looks down on you. You are inferior to the egret.

This was very appropriate."Luna on the roof" is even more apposite. Luna is a princess after all.
