ok my fiancé is claiming me on his taxes, I did not work this year there for he was my provider, my question is " if he claims me on his taxes, and I have a student loan that I owe of $ 1000 from 4 years ago, from a different state will they take it from his taxes because he is claiming me???? sorry if this is confusing???? please help. thanks.

no your student loan is yours and yours alone, if he can claim you legitimately any refund he is due is not affected by your loan obligation as long as you are not filing a joint return which you are not eligible to do if you are not married
