I cannot accept any man-made religions or man-made God’s, especially the script play called the Bible, all of which totally defies imagination how anyone can believe in light of the overwhelming evidence practically proving that God and the Bible are just fantasy or fake.
So how sick is this? My question is prompted by a someone who replied to one of my recent questions as follows.
“I knew a Christian fanatic who's 4 year old daughter was terribly sick and had a fever of 107. She actually called all family members to join her in a prayer circle to thank Jesus for choosing her child! And told her daughter to go with baby Jesus! Instead of getting her child to the hospital, she actually just let her lay there and suffer! Thankfully the little girl made it through o.k. That made me sick”
Brenda’s World: I’ve also heard of several similar cases myself. It's sick, sad and unbelievable how religion can dupe people into such behaviour. Who protects the child’s real interests?

You protect your childern. Some people are so blinded by their religion that they don't realize how dangerous they really can be. I'm not just talking about with the example given.
I had a friend who parents were religious freaks, and they forced her to go to church three days a week. When she got into trouble she had to write scripture out of the bible. Then, one day she "mysteriously" got pregnant and they sent her to a relgious home for unwed mothers. She now hates religion and everything to do with god. I think that is just as bad as the fever thing.
1. Some sects of Christianity use scare tactics, and some do not. This applies to several religions as well, not just Christianity. This can vary from church to church or even individual to individual. 2. For the same reason that science folk give the answer to, "How did the first big bang start?" Truth is, no one really knows, and that's where faith comes in. Religion is often used to fill in the holes for science--good examples are Greek, Roman, and Egyptian mythology. Science is the "what, where, when, how," and religion is the "why" and (sometimes) "who." Religion and science can complement each other if you let them. Another similar example is gravity. We can observe it, and we know that it is the interaction between masses. We're on the brink of discovering the graviton, which is what scientists suspect supply gravitational forces. But *why* are there gravitons? *Why* do they interact this way? Why don't they act like electrons, or photons, or anything else? These questions can be answered by religion if that is what you believe. 3. The people who say those things are not true Christians. Remind them of that, and they will often get very flabbergasted. 4. It's possible that they did. See my answer in #2. It certainly wouldn't be the first time in history that a religion was conceived for this very reason. 5. Some people believe that, but not all. To answer the "why" to your question, I would have to assume that the question is true (that they actually do suffer due to the sins of others). I don't believe that, so I can't answer this part of your question. 6. For the same reason that any religious fundamentalist does anything in the name of any god--someone with a mental disorder using religion as a cloak so they are not held accountable for their own actions. 7. That's a faith question, and it applies to all religions. A person's god is the right god because he or she believes it is. That's what faith is. 8. Christianity was created as a religion for people, not for animals. People needed it, and animals didn't. If animals needed religion, they'd make one for themselves, just like generations upon generations of people have. I hope these satisfy the conditions of your stipulations. These may not be the answers you want to hear, and you might think they're actually quite terrible answers, but I tried to use reason, logic, and fact as much as possible. To everyone else, this question is in the appropriate topic. I haven't seen an actual suggestion for a new topic to put this question in, so if you really believe it doesn't belong here, please suggest a more appropriate topic instead of just saying "GTFO AND STFU" *cough*
There are people who just get it all wrong. The fact that God does help you doesn't mean that you're not supposed to do anything to make things better.
But the truth is that ultimately things are in God's hands. You can do your best, but seriously, how often things happen the way you want them and you plan them? If you were the one with the power, things would always come out as you plan them. But that's not the case, let's be honest here.
Btw, it is not nice for you to talk in such a way of the Bible though. I could tell you a bunch of offensive things for not believing in it, but that would be wrong. If you want to rant about people taking religion to extremes, that's ok, I'm with you there, but that doesn't invalidate the Bible or make it a "script play" or false. I would like to see you trying to disprove it. Are you sure you can? Or are you just repeating things you've heard somewhere else?
Read it, understand it, and then try to prove if it isn't true. If you can, then you might be the only person who can, and come back and post it because you might become famous. Otherwise, it's just plain ignorance.
I have heard of people of this religion as well, it is sad that people like this give religion a bad name. I consider myself a christian but I do NOT believe that if u are sick you don't do anything about it. Yes I do pray and ask for healing but if I need medical attention I get it. Sadly these poor children who are brought up in this are raised to believe the same and you know what that is the parents choice because they are the ones raising them. We can only hope that as they grow older that they will be shown that NOT doing anything is NOT the answer. Thats the great thing about freedom of religion...everyone gets to choose. But unfortunetly sometimes that choice of religion can cause a loss of life. Usually with religions such as you were talking about usually are based on ONE tiny section of the Bible...Rather then the Bible as a WHOLE...which is why you get so many diverse Christianities.....Sooo in answer to your original question its up to the parents to raise the children since God allowed them to have the children in the first place.
The Bible is PROPHETIC. Contains over 8000 prophecies, 360 fullfilled by Jesus Christ. The bible is 27% prophetic (roughly 1/3)!!. The Bible is NOT human inspired!! Only an ignorant person can ignore the bible>
Good parents believing in ethical standards of behaviour protect their children as the word of God professes.
I have done my best to see that my children have been armed with questioning minds, and burdened with the responsibility that they are a part of reality around them. Other than just physical, that is all the protection I could honestly give them.
God protects all children. The person who let her child suffer in God's name obviously interpreted the bible wrongly.
Mother nature knows best, God witll take care of the rest.
We protect our children...no one else...not even any supreme being.
People tend to forget religion is for the SPIRITUAL self & not for the PHYSICAL self.
