I was working the closing shift cleaning this grill when gra drop of grill cleaner splashed on my wrist. It hurt like a mother ****** but I didn’t think twice. Maybe an hour later I was with coworkers and we where burning **** like pyromaniacs when I looked down at my wrist and noticed it blistering it didn’t look that bad at the time. Showed it off proudly and went on with the night. Next day I realize this blister is ****** huge and being a popaholic I wanted to pop it. A coworker advised me not because then it would hurt more so I left it alone still playing with it when I was bored. I wanna say the next day I realized it popped at some point while I was working. I was sad because it became a friend and a something to **** around with when I was bored. And I soon realized it hurt more as wound than a blister when I was doing dishes. I tried to keep it bandaged but it was impossible. Not to mention all the grease and germs that I’m sure has gotten in it while cleaning and working on top of me not cleaning it in the first place. Now I’m starting to think it’s getting infected however I’ve had bad wounds before and the healing process was similar to this but those wounds where cleaned. Idk if I should clean it or leave it be since it’s not fresh

You need to see a doctor. I burned my arm in a much bigger area, a circular spot about the size of a grapefruit and it immediately blistered up. Went to urgent care and they sent me straight to the hospital. You know what the ER is like on a Saturday night. They took one look at it and took me right in. Made me stay all night, though that was probably because I had some tiny burns on my face from the grease splashing and they were worried about my lungs, breathing in soot and stuff.
Next morning when the bandage came off, I thought it looked pretty good. The doctor took one look at it and said, 'That's bad.' 3rd degree, I had to have a skin graft operation. Ten days of carefully changing the bandages and applying medicinal cream, twice a day, before the surgery.
Don't screw around with a burn. Go see doctor ASAP.
