Either my mom or my dad would cut it. They bought one of those do-it-yourself haircutting kits from Sears. The kit came with an apron, some barber scissors and black combs, an electric shaver and some attachments. The attachments were supposed to determine the length the hair would be when you used the shaver. My parents never used the attachments, they just gave me buzz cuts by using the shaver directly. I hated that! I looked like a complete doofus, and because of that, I was often the target of bullying.
My mother when Evey young, then, in the elementary school. Frank, the barber cut it. That was until he sold his shop while I was in high school. Never went back, nothing stays the same unfortunately.

Up until the age of 16 my father cut my hair. I wanted to have long hair as a kid but not my parents.
