Hi. Right now, I am breeding for a perfect IV Protean Froakie.
I have a ditto from friend safari, it has max IV's in; defense, special defense, and special attack.
In the daycare with ditto; I have a Froakie with max IV in speed.
My ditto has destiny knot to pass down IV's, my Froakie has everstone + is male to pass down nature and hidden ability.
Right now I'm looking for a Froakie with all ditto's 3 max IV's, + the speed IV from Froakie. I have hatched 30 Froakie eggs, and I haven't gotten one Froakie with 4 IV's or higher; am I doing something wrong?

I'm certain that it doesn't matter what the gender of your Froakie is. Both males and females can pass down the hidden ability now.
You're doing nothing wrong. Except, perhaps, you should try to improve yours odds.
The Destiny Knot means that 5 of the parents IV's will be inherited by the offspring. Whatever IV's are inherited are completely random. But if you have parents with overlapping IV's, then you'll have double the chance of getting that IV inherited.
Let's say you have your Ditto with IVs in Defence, Sp. Defence and Sp. Attack which is breeding with a Protean Froakie with IVs in Defence and Speed. Because both parents have perfect IV's in Defence, it's more likely that your egg will have perfect IV's in Defence.
You can continue to breed like you are currently. But it's much more efficient to replace the parents with superior offspring. Don't be afraid to replace your current Froakie (or even Ditto!) if you get an egg that has better IV's. It might seem incestuous, but hey, it gets the job done.
