Brave Bird for example: "the user receives recoil damage equal to ⅓ of the damage done to the target"
But does that amount of recoil damage go through pokémon's damage formula again or not?
What I want to know is, do your own resistances and defences affect the amount of recoil damage received or not?
Update:@ Impact Ace: Your ignorant behaviour disgusts me, don't answer if you can only talk bullsh*t.

No. It merely is as simple as it says, you take one-third of the damage your opponent takes. Things like your own defense or whatever are not calculated.
Damage Calculation Pokemon
Pokemon Damage Formula
The amount of damage dealt to the user on certain moves can have different values, for example take down will do 1/4 damage to the user where as head smash will do 1/2 of the damage to the user. resistances are not taken into account.
