Placed on Leave due to COVID-19, can I File for unemployment? ?
My sister tested positive for COVID-19. I informed my employer and was told to get tested. I got an email form HR saying that they have placed me on leave until I get my results. If I want to get paid I have to use sick time or PTO. Can I qualify for unemployment? I live in California.

If your employment hasn't been terminated you can't qualify for UI. But in some CA counties your employer can't put you on an unpaid leave and would have to pay you while you're off work. Do your research on this.
