a new addition to my pets – turtle (an Eastern box turtle, maybe) I found beside highway – brought him to the Lake here (attached, string & floater) & my dog playing with it when I absent for a while – 2 puncture-holes (on top), bit of blood, no serious bleeding, moving around well or on ‘basking log’ in homemade aquarium – is this a serious injury? – I heard somewhere, you have to treat wounds like this & use tape – thank you for any helpful advice !
Update:thank you for rapid & helpful replies! To CrazyBoy: makes sense, bottom side is closer to vital organs; to Nonuna – I tried it myself, bandage-tape & then caulking; to justino: you have ALL those pets?, I guess anything’s possible, anyway you missed “and a partridge in a pear tree” – Update: after treatment turtle seems stable & OK, bye y’all

It could get an infection, but other than that it's not serious. Going to the vet sounds like a good idea. Oh, and Eastern Box Turtles rock!!!!!!
No except for infection and if he has bite marks on the lower side then yes
I had a turtle with a hole in his shell, took him to the vet, and the vet filled the hole with epoxy.
