My seasonal job hasn’t called me to work yet. What do you think is going on?
I work seasonally as a sorter for a peach manufacturing company. Last year I started work on 7/24/2018. And they told me in the orientation they’ll call me at end of July. But they haven’t called me yet! So yesterday I called em and asked when I’ll start working and they said they go by seniority number (which I know) and there are 20 people ahead of me! Where did those 20 ppl come from? How come last season I started work on 24th??
Is the HR screwing me up? Keep in mind, the season ends 8/31. Should I start looking for another job? But then I like this job. Your thoughts?

- If you need to work, you should have been looking for work since 9/1/2018.
- Fruit doesn't ripen on the same day each year.
- The fruit crop is not the same size each year. If you are in Central California, then you should know that it is smaller this year because the rains knocked the blossoms off the trees.
- Where did the people who have more seniority than you come from? Heaven. But they got more seniority than you because they have worked with the peach company longer than you have.
We don't know what you do... but I am sure you don't work for a peach manufacturing company.
Either a peach harvesting company or a peach processing company.

It's only 3 days later then you started last year, and isn't the end of July yet. Peaches don't ripen the same day every year. Those 20 people have apparently been working for them longer than you have.
I think you should look for another job. If you can't afford to be picky about jobs, then take what ever you can get .Even if it's not seasonal you can quit when you can't work there any more.
There's 20 people ahead of you that have more seniority then you do. You may not end up working at all this time around.
You go!out is also possible, may be you are not so much social, this not some thing I say, nowadays cause but there and here, so much to come crowds to. You are not a person that lives alone in the world. when you see there is occupied, what is a toleration there, you make you stable, like strangers down, some where there,s, warmly!!? Toward them, ya look mad, But yest you had not turned to old, you try for any other work, totally. Cause at anew job, no body says to you to come, and no body discharges you,too much.
