My psychiatrist of 10 years(on and off) won’t doze me off my benzos even though they started causing noticeable amnesia. Should I leave him?
I forget names after the third time and I’m embarassed to ask again so I act like I know their names.
I forget books after a week, apart from a “general idea” of the contents.
Curse this man that I’m bound to him for other prescription drugs...
I can’t effectively work or do anything productive
if I’m not off those memory-killers somehow, or at least half dose.

Do it quick, before you forget why you want to change doctors.
Yes, change doctors. It seems to me that your current psychiatrist is not listening to you anymore, as sometimes happens when a doctor gets too familiar with a patient.
If you aren't happy find another doctor. I would.
