I moved in to this property in March of this year, it became apparent that the floorboards in the hallway and kitchen were damaged as they were constantly creeking and we had complaints from the neighbors believe (we live in masionette) so we thought we’d call and ask if they could be repaired and anything back, so we left it. After about 4 months being here our neighbors started to pick fights everytime we left the house, and starting arguments with my children (my 16 year old son was spat in the face by the 40 odd year old man) I don’t know what to do the neighbors are causing all kinds of stress on our family, we can’t move anywhere else as money is extremely tight. The only option is to get the floors fixed but are we even entitled to that? They are so badly damaged and are crudely fitted, what can I do, please help.

It is perfectly possible to nail down the creaky boards to the joists underneath, then buy a cheap carpet or rugs. Rugs are very cheap in B&M.
We did the same in an old house we bought.
Unless these are a danger your LL is not going to get them fixed, so husband needs to do it himself.
As for your neighbour, if it happens again record on your phone and show the police.

Unless the flooring is unsafe, which it is not then you have no claim to require it fixed.......... purchase mats/rugs
As far as criminal assault you phone the police and report the assault
I do not know England, but I know California. Here in California, if you are a renter paying rent or a lease, a portion of your money paid in rent is to be used for property and building maintenance. Here in California, if you put to your landlord a work request for a needed building repair, the landlord is then to use your rent or lease money to make the repair, and you are not to be charged extra. If the work is not addressed in a timely manner, you then have the right to call your own contractor and have the repairs made with the bill sent to the landlord. DO take pictures of "Before" and "after" to show the contractor and the landlord the damage and repairs were needed and necessary. Do get your original work request to the landlord in writing and have a copy for yourself, so If your landlord threatens you with a rent increase or eviction for doing this, you show him the work request you filed previously and the time it was not addressed. If he persists, you have a case for a lawsuit concerning your landlord not making proper building repairs. Look into your local renter's rights for your county or town and good luck, but first put a work request to your landlord in writing, keep a copy for yourself, get pictures of the flood condition, and if this is not addressed within another 60 days, call your own repair person and send the bill to your landlord.
oil them?
If a neighbor assaulted your child, you contact the police and press charges.
If your neighbors are that unruly because your floors creak (they are not even yours, they are the landlords) then they need mental help.
If your landlord won't fix it, have you considered asking a handy man to do so? It would probably be very very cheap fix involving a few nails and perhaps some wood glue. Even if you have to pay for it, it seems like it would be worth the cost.
All that being said, you could always consult a lawyer or seek arbitration with your landlord to live up to his end of the lease.
