I would suggest Tate Modern as they take donations instead of a set fee...or at least they did when I went not too long ago.
Many things in London are historical and you don't necessarily have to enter them. Westminster, Tower Bridge, The Thames, Trafalger Square, Portobello Market in Notting Hill, Buckingham Palace, etc.
The bus would be cheapest, and you should get a pay as you go Oyster. You can see more things on a bus as well.
If you're looking for a night out, I would suggest you go to Tesco or Sainsbury's for alcohol, and then hit up Hoxton by Old Street. Hoxton is good for a fantastic night out, and if you get alcohol before hand, you save alot of money. There's a place called Hoxton Bar & Grill, which is a club...a free club before 11. And, you can't go in there after midnight.
Another free club is The Dogstar down in Brixton. But you have to get there before 10.
The Terracotta Army exhibit at the British Museum would be worth any money you can afford to shell out.
London Dungeon is ten pounds. I've never been, but I hear it's pretty cool.
Hope this helps.

But make it plain she should pay some too - you shouldnt have to pay everything for her - if shes a friend she will understand (a brummie) x
