She wants to be a infantry officer but that's not offered in the reserve but just for activate duty (Which me personally I think is kind of stupid) She pretty much meets the requirements as a civilian to go to Basic Training and go to OCS but based on the income as a Second Lieutenant she's worried she won't make the same or more money than her current job making $100,000 a year if she went activate duty just so she can be a infantry officer. I want a honest reply and not a reply based off discrimination of her being a woman because of her desire to want to be in infantry
Update:So basically based off the "replies" I have received so far it seems like to me it use to be a honor to join the military and want to serve your country but apparently not anymore because people like to make a joke out of it. Just because someone has a high income doesnt give you the right to degrade them because you don't have that income. So what she did what she had to do to earn it. NOTE: please no smart aleck replies or replies that has nothing to with what I was wanting to know.

There are NO infantry units in the US Army reserve except for one unit in Hawaii, so she is out of luck. She can join the Army National Guard which probably has infantry units in every state of the union.
I have a job that might just suit your lady and should I find her suitable I would definitely pay her all the fallen fruit from my "old orchard" to keep her working away on my "behalf". There are one or two T & Cs of course but none too unseemly except if she be pernickety.
she will make a decent amount in the Army and there will be raises with each promotion, after a few years she will be making a lot more then 100,000 and she will have some great memories, if I was her I would forget the reserves and go to active duty
