for at least 48 hours. She had a fever of about 102 degrees earlier today about 6 hours ago from being under 4 blankets, in a hot room because she was sleeping and the air conditioners are faulty. The temperature immediately went down to 99 degrees the next time she was checked and because of that original temperature, they want her to stay one more night which she absolutely does not want to do because she's been here already for 5 days and there were no other problems with her and the baby. Will medicaid still pay the bill if she decides to leave, signing the AMA waiver? She was already supposed to be discharged, until that temperature checking...

No amount of blankets or warm room would create a fever that high. She may have puerperal fever or an infection and she needs to stay and be monitored for her health and safety. If she signs herself out AMA no insurance or medicaid will cover the bill, she will become 100% responsible for the costs.
Clearly, she did not have a fever at this time. Have them check her for fever again when she signs the AMA waiver. If she has a fever then, she should then stay. Medicaid will still pay the bill. They will also pay the bill if she returns. Posters who say otherwise are just stupid. The AMA waiver simply protects the hospital against a lawsuit - it has nothing to do with insurers. You are ALWAYS allowed to refuse medical care.
I totally disagree with one poster. It is very possible to increase someone's internal temperature with lots of blankets and a broken a/c. Happened to me.
It might be another reason for her condition but it sounds like an infection, the temperature of the room and what not is also not going to help. As badly as she wants to leave it's not best and that medical insurance will not pay if your fiancee signs herself out. There are 2 times I was supposed to stay in the hospital for a little less then a week myself and came close to signing myself out and was told that the medical insurance would not cover any of it. All or nothing basically the way things work are pretty messed up.
My daughter became very alert for a new child. She could sit down up for hours only impressive out consisting of her dad and that i. i concept it became extraordinary as well because my girlfriends son is 6 weeks older than my daughter and all he did became sleep. All little ones are distinct and also you need to be at liberty that you get to spend some conscious time with him.
Medics know best. Pyrexia is not caused by external factors. Discharging oneself against medical advice is never good practise. Can come back to haunt one later.
I imagine this type of action will nullify insurance.
They should but you may want to call her health insurance company or have a nurse call on her behalf to make sure.
