So in November I started working as prn at a new place. I did my training and because of my other job I haven’t worked there again. I should had received a paper check in December and I never did. I called them and asked them about it and they basically said they are working on it and they’ll let me know when they figure it out. What should I do because I did work for that money and the place is so unorganized I don’t think they want to pay me.

Call them. Be friendly and polite.
"Hello _______, this is Nicole, how are things going today?
I worked for you one day in November and still haven't been paid. I will be at the office at Twelve noon, to pick up the pay due me for the work I performed two months ago. If it isn't ready i will call the Bureau of Labor Relations immediately to file a report about the company withholding my pay. I'm sure that won't be necessary, because cutting a check for a day's work just isn't that complicated. See you at noon!"
It cost money to train you and you skipped out on them in favor of another job? I'd say you are entitled to NOTHING. Don't be surprised if you never receive anything from them.

If you want to be paid in a timely manner, the first step is not to contact your state's wage and hour board
It appears you called them once.
Did you follow up with them again telling them you are going to pick up your check at X time?
Did you send them a letter requesting payment?
Once you have gone through the list you would file a claim with your state's wage and hour board. IF the claim is handled by them. Since you only worked a few shifts, it might be enough money to be covered in your state. Many states it needs to be over $750 or more.
- if it's not covered in your state, you would need to sue them in small claims court.
When you file a claim with the wage and hour board, you will wait months to receive the payment.
If it's been over a month, contact them back again and ask what is taking so long. If they blow you off tell them you'll be contacting your state's department of workforce development with a grievance about this. And then do so. Not being paid in a timely manner is against the law and your state can levy a fine against the company.
To find your state's department of workforce development, just google it.

contact your state labor board asap
Report then to the state board of labor. You can also get yourself a lawyer on a contingency basis and sue them.
Find an employment lawyer and see if you can get a 15 min consult with one of them...that should be free.
If you're in the US, report them to your state's labor dept. That should get you your check pretty quickly.
Patiently work them to get their payroll in order.

Wow, everyone here needs to calm down. It's possible but, unlikely that the employer is trying to get away with something. In a month they botched two pay periods. That's not a pattern, it's a mistake. Again, patiently work with them to correct their mistake.
