Check the consignment shops---they sell new dolls still in their original box. Over the last 6 months I have purchased 7 new dolls still in their original boxes for $1.00 each. I collect dolls and other toys and I always 'check' the junk stores first. I found a new Jackie Kennedy Barbie doll a couple of months ago.

Check out eBay and the other on-line auctions. Also the Thrift shops are a great place to look. I collect the big 36" My Size Barbie and have found several of them at Thrift shops as well as new in the box regular size Barbie.

Also join a couple of the Barbie Doll Yahoo Groups. The people in the groups are very knowledgeable and generous with information. They are up to date on everything Barbie. There may also be a younger adolescent group for your daughter. She might enjoy the other Barbie Collectors.
