First of all i am a faker baker..i try sometimes i accomplish it sometimes i fail lol..anyways, i made these cookies๐ช before and they were delicious! I tried the second time I failed..sadly ๐ now this is my 3rd time and now there like a cake!..there very good but its CAKEY!๐ฃ I don't understand why? I did exactly like the recipe. I even red or over it twice. What could the problem be?

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1 egg yolk
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets or line with parchment paper.
Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
In a medium bowl, cream together the melted butter, brown sugar and white sugar until well blended. Beat in the vanilla, egg, and egg yolk until light and creamy. Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended. Stir in the chocolate chips by hand using a wooden spoon. Drop cookie dough 1/4 cup at a time onto the prepared cookie sheets. Cookies should be about 3 inches apart.
Bake for 15 to 17 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges are lightly toasted. Cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely. Makes 18...

Ingredients

รยฝ teaspoon baking powder
2 eggs
1 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
4 oz. rich baking chocolate
2/5 cup butter
Pinch of salt
Preparation Instructions
1. Melt the butter in a pan and add the chocolate, making a paste; stir occasionally.
2. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking powder and salt.
3. In another bowl, mix the sugar and eggs until fluffy and smooth. Add the vanilla essence and mix well.
4. Add the chocolate and butter mixture and mix well. Add the dry ingredients and mix well.
5. Drop by teaspoonfuls of cookie batter onto cookie sheet that has not been greased. Bake for about 8-9 minutes. Cookies will puff up when baking and flatten when cooled.
