If you don't think it warrants that maybe you can set up a regular thing of having her stay over once a week to give her some respite, but spin it to your mother that you want to give her a break from your sister. Teens are so difficult after all, everyone knows that. Or if not stay over maybe she can come over more often in the day.

Your sister needs to show some respect for her mother. As her older brother you need to sit her down and talk some sense into her, not encourage her to feel that you know what she's going through. Teenagers can be difficult, and sometimes mom has be tough to get them to listen. You still visit your mom 4 days a week because now that you are an adult you realize that it was for your own good that she had to be tough with you.

Mothers are special, they're always trying to do what's right for their children and sometimes it can be overwhelming for them and they don't know what else to do. Tell your sister she should be kind to her,mother and not make her cry, because she only has one mother in this world and when she taken from her she will remember all the bad things she said and it will make her feel guilty and sad.

The very.smartest.thing your sister can do is to stop arguing. Your mother is never going to turn to her and say, "You know what? I never looked at it that way before. You are right." Arguing is a waste of time and energy and the quicker she understands that, the more peaceful her life will be for the next four years.

Your little sister doesn't need you to help her move out, she needs your help on how to cope living at home. You are the expert since you have gone through the stuff she is going through now, and you figured out what it takes to endure your mother and your sanity. You need to share this expertise with both your sister and your Mom to make things easier for both.

You're well intended, but when you say you don't have enough money to let her stay with you, it's not that simple. Your parents are her legal guardians, meaning odds are almost zero they'd agree to it. Technically, if she wants to spend the night with you and parents say no, but you do it anyway because she's really upset, you could be charged with kidnapping (holding a minor against the wishes of the parents).

They probably wouldn't go that far, but I mention all this because if she wants to move in and you're discussing this with her, for both your sakes, you need to shut this down quickly. She's way too young and it's not going to happen, so you want to focus on what you can do to make this easier on her.

Also, when you said you've let her stay twice at your place, did you talk directly to mom and get her ok on this? If not, I think it would be a good idea to start doing this. It reinforces mom's role and shows you're aware of it. It might sound minor to you, but it isn't minor to mom.

You can help her by encouraging her to seek therapy. This will help her mentally deal with her entire family.
