Help me, I lied about where I’m going on holiday to work, basically between Christmas and new year it is my mums birthday, the whole family are going to a Manor House in the countryside and I didn’t want to miss out, so I lied and said we are surprising my mum and my dad has booked a trip to the States.... Eek! I know I shouldn’t have lied, but I would have had my leave rejected if it wasn’t pre-paid or if something like flights were involved?
I don’t know what to do, I feel bad but it’s my mums 50th and I didn’t want to miss out on the fun!!

It's none of your employer's business where you go on holiday.
i wouldnt worry about it, if you dont tell them they'll never know, just dont lie again
Jus be light-hearted about it and tell them you were joking. Or you could say that your mother doesn't want people knowing her age....
You'd better find a way to make it right and fess up to the truth. With most US companies, lying to get extra time off is grounds for dismissal.
I not think they need to know where you go
If no one knows, what's the problem?
Quit your job, be free, your job is not worth missing out on fun. You can always get a new job but you can't go back in time to have fun.
