The quiet moments in music are often more revealing of the structure of the music than the notes are.
But "less" roller coaster is not as good as "more". Less horsepower is not as good in a semi when it has to go uphill or just get started pulling two full trailers behind it. Trains often have 4 engines attached, two facing backwards, to help it out of bad situations.
"More is less" cannot be said to be an axiom. It only works in certain situations.
What kind of question is this? Are you just stating it or do you want to know the meaning?
People say Less is more because sometimes, simple, easy things are a lot more effective than complicated things. small cute birthday presents that are thoughtfull are usually more appreciated than big cumbersome things that have a complicated instruction manual and cost a lot of money.
In planning something, maybe a team stratagy, simple things are more easy to understand than confusing, complex things. a team that has a plan that is simple, but the players understand is going to be much more effective than a team plan that is so complex that none of the players actually know what to do.
hope i helped, sorry about any spelling mistakes, can't be bothered to look through it, too tired

Less is more, because
anything over a "mouthful" is wasteful.
Eating slower is better for your digestion. <}:-})
More or less.
it depends on the personal point of view. what is less for one is more for another - and viceversa
I hope so.
