I'm having a brainfart conjugating this verb. I need to conjugate the verb to attend (or so my book provided), でる. But I'm not even sure if I conjugated this right, or if this sentence is even okay.
(Pardon the Romaji, but I'm incredibly lazy to switch the keyboard to Japanese)
Watashi wa daigaku de deteimasu./I attend a university.

What book are you using? "Deru" (出る), as far as I know, only means to go out/leave/depart from, etc.
To say you're attending school, the verb 通う (kayou) should be used.
"I attend a university" = (私は)大学に通っています - (watashi wa) daigaku ni kayotteimasu
